Yes, upon completing a course on ExpertGate, you receive a certificate or from the expert. This certificate serves as a formal acknowledgement of your completion of the course and may be useful for professional development or record-keeping.

What is the refund policy for cancelled courses on ExpertGate?

Refunds for cancelled courses on ExpertGate are available for both instructor-initiated and customer-initiated cancellations. If the organising instructor cancels a course, registered customers will receive a prompt refund according to the platform's Payment and Pricing Policy. Customers can cancel their participation up to 72 hours before the scheduled start time and must provide a reason for the cancellation. Refunds will be processed in accordance with the Payment and Pricing Policy once the cancellation is completed. Once project/research project/consultation/course requirements and deliverables are met, funds are released to the expert in accordance with the Payment and Price Policy.

How do I withdraw my earnings as an expert on ExpertGate?

As an expert on ExpertGate, you can request a withdrawal of your available funds at any time. If you do not request a disbursement, ExpertGate will automatically release the funds within 30 days after they are added to your expert account, provided specific conditions are met, detailed in the Payment and Price Policy. 

In which currency are payments handled and processed on the platform?

It is essential for both the expert and customer to establish a clear agreement regarding IP ownership prior to starting any work. Please refer to ExpertGate's Intellectual Property (IP) Policy to know in detail about your ownership and intellectual property rights when engaging in services on our platform.

What happens to the IP if the project is cancelled midway?

If a project is cancelled midway, the ownership and rights over the intellectual property (IP) developed up to that point will depend on the specific agreement between the parties involved. Generally, any work completed and paid for up to the point of cancellation may belong to the customer. However, unpaid work or incomplete deliverables might remain with the expert. It is crucial for the parties to have a well-drafted agreement in place that clearly addresses IP ownership, usage rights, and the consequences of project cancellation.
